I hope you haven't put away your summer clothing. You'll likely be looking for it this weekend as temperatures return to the 70°s and 80°s.
A cold front is projected to position itself over northern Indiana Sunday. Near the front, showers and thunderstorms will be possible. As of today, it looks like rain will stay north of Indianapolis - and possibly north of a line from Lafayette to Hartford City.
Winds will increase out of the south Sunday and eventually turning to the southwest Monday. They will blow with gusto Sunday through Tuesday. This will likely knock many leaves off trees. If you have hopes of going out to see fall colors, Saturday and Sunday will be the best days to do so.
FIRST WIDESPREAD FROST
Indianapolis dropped to its lowest temperature of the season (so far) Friday morning. 46°. Far from temperatures conducive for frost.
The first widespread frost looks to come late next week. Computer models suggest a shot of cold air coming down to the Midwest Friday, October 21.
