We will see a lot of dry time today, but clouds will thicken after lunch today. Despite the clouds, it will be warm and breezy with a high of 77. You will want to keep the umbrella handy today, because after 4 p.m. spotty T-showers will develop and few could be strong to severe.
Northwestern Indiana is included in a Marginal Risk for severe storms today. The cut off is Delphi and Lafayette. We could see a few severe thunderstorm warnings this evening, with storms that could produce damaging wind gusts. The best chance for that is northwest of Indy, where the Marginal Risk is located.
The wettest part of the day will be this evening. Here is our Futureview model at 7 p.m.
0.25" to 0.5" of rainfall is expected through Thursday morning.
We're looking ahead to a BIG drop off in temperatures for Thursday and Friday with highs only in the 60s. We're back to the 70s this weekend. Saturday will be mostly dry, but another front will cross the area and bring more T-showers to the area on Sunday. Temperatures return to the 80s early next week.
