Three charged with dealing after heroin is found in near south side home
UPDATE (January 30, 2018) — Tonya Gaines pleaded guilty to dealing in a narcotic drug manufacture/deliver/finance. A possession of a narcotic drug charge was dismissed as part of a plea agreement. She was sentenced to 10 years in Community Corrections, with 6 years suspended.
Shaunae White pleaded guilty to visiting a common nuisance. Charges of dealing in a narcotic drug and possession of a narcotic drug were dismissed as a result of a plea agreement. She was sentenced 365 days in the county jail, with 347 days suspended.
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Narcotics detectives with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrested three people Saturday after they found heroin and thousands of dollars in a near south side home.
The Northwest Narcotics Unit, with the assistance of IMPD SWAT, served a search warrant at a residence in the 1200 block of Finley Avenue around 10 a.m.
When the SWAT team entered the home, they immediately detained Ronald Hicks, 31, Tonya Gaines, 35, and Shaunae White, 26, without incident.
While searching the residence, detectives say they found 65 grams of heroin and $3,127 in cash.
Hicks, Gaines, and White were arrested and preliminarily charged with dealing heroin, possession of heroin and maintaining a common nuisance.
