INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Governor Mike Pence released a statement Saturday afternoon regarding the 2005 recording that surfaced Friday, in which Donald Trump can be heard making sexually aggressive remarks about women.

In the statement, Pence says he was offended by the words and actions described by Trump in the video, adding that he cannot defend them.

“I do not condone his remarks and cannot defend them,” said Pence.

Pence says he is grateful that Trump expressed his remorse and released an apology to the American people.

“We pray for his family and look forward to the opportunity he had to show what is in his heart when he goes before the nation tomorrow night,” said Pence.

Also Saturday, the Trump Campaign pulled all of Gov. Pence’s scheduled events from their website.
