Get ready for 48 hours of Summer
The calendar may say fall but a burst of summer-like warmth will wrap itself around central Indiana for the next two days. Highs will be in the 80s to end the workweek with only a slight chance for a few isolated showers. A better chance for rain will arrive Friday as a cold front approaches. Behind the front high temperatures will range in the middle 60s this weekend. Hurricane Matthew will batter the Bahamas Wednesday and Thursday before spreading heavy rain from Florida to New England this weekend. The storm is still not expected to make a direct hit on the U.S. mainland.
This has been a mild fall so far.
Our wild weather will continue through Thursday.
Scattered showers are likely Friday.
We’ll need sweatshirts and sweaters this weekend.
This will not be a major rain event.
