INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.– Empire Beauty School has established a special grant program for students who were displaced after Regency Beauty Institutes shut down.

The grants are targeted towards students who may decide to transfer to Empire Beauty Schools or Hair Design School. Those students are offered:

  • Waiver of upfront enrollment fees (transfer and registration fees) for all eligible Regency students
  • Potential Displaced Student Grant Award up to a maximum $1,000 per student
  • Potential free Samsung tablet and student kit

All Empire Beauty School Institutional grant decisions are subject to the discretion of the Empire Management team based on academic and financial aid evaluations of Regency transcripts and records.

Grants may vary on a case by case scenario and by state, the school said in a press release.

“Empire Beauty Schools has a long successful history of assisting people in effectively changing their lives,” said Frank Schoeneman, Chairman & CEO of Empire Education Group. “As our industry is coming together to support the recently displaced Regency Beauty Institute students, our hearts are touched with compassion for these creative, passionate future professionals who just want to achieve their dreams. We have heard so many unique stories of the difficulties and distress that this disruption has caused in their lives.”
