Titus Bakery and Deli balances the sweet and savory in Lebanon

LEBANON, Ind. - Enjoy a donut and a sandwich!

Titus Bakery and Deli balances the sweet and savory with everything from heavenly donuts and homemade pies to filling soups and deli sandwiches.

The original Titus Bakery is downtown Lebanon. The owners recently expanded with a new location in Westfield off of State Road 32.

"Every donut is touched by hand. Sometimes more than once," explains owner Terry Rake.

Titus Bakery & Deli is a well-known sweet spot in Lebanon. Rake's family has been focusing on donuts for 35 years.

"We’ve been very lucky. We’ve got a great group of supporters and customers, great employees.  We are known for donuts, primarily the Pershing or, if you're from Lebanon, Persian. It is a nice soft dough with cinnamon swirl and maple icing," says Rake.

Rake and her husband bought the business from her father in 2012. Rake hired two local painters to design a donut mural on the outside of the bakery.

"I thought it would be cool to add a little art flare to it," explains Rake.
