Officer loses 2 jobs after posting Snapchat picture with racial slur

MCKEESPORT, Pa. – A Pennsylvania police officer is out of a job after a social media post that included a racial slur went viral.

The officer, Melissa Adamson, had been hired as a part-time officer who was training as a probationary employee, reports WTAE. Adamson took a photo showing herself in uniform with the caption, “I’m the law today n—-.“

McKeesport Mayor Michael Cherepko took to Facebook this week after the selfie came to his attention. He wrote that the post “displays a degree of conduct and character that is far different from what I would expect from an officer in this city.”
