Indiana man wanted in connection with murder, arson in Warren County
WARREN COUNTY, Ind. – Authorities are searching for a man wanted in connection with an apparent arson of a Williamsport home to possibly cover up a murder.
Officers believe Scottie M. Kincade, 33, of Williamsport, is the person behind the arson on Jackson Street, where a body was discovered.
While investigating the arson, officers received information that Kincade was driving a gray 2007 Pontiac Torrent SUV.
That SUV was later spotted going eastbound on CR 300 in Warren County heading towards SR 63. When a trooper attempted to stop the vehicle, Kincade sped away and continued into Carbondale. He continued until he crashed into a Ford pickup and veered into a cornfield on CR 300 North. He then fled on foot.
A perimeter was set up in attempt to locate Kincade, but after around four hours of searching, officers were unable to find him. Now, authorities are asking for the public’s help.
Police say Kincade is 5 foot 6 inches, weighs 180 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair. He is considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, you’re asked to contact your local police department or dial 911. Don’t confront him.
The identification of the body found in home will be released when family has been notified.
