INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --Good Tuesday afternoon! It's been a sunny and windy day with sustained winds as high as 20 mph in Indy with higher gusts to 30 mph. The winds will die down after sunset and temperatures will cool quickly with limited cloud cover. Expect temperatures in the mid-60s by 9 p.m.
We'll build in the clouds overnight with lows in the low 50s into your Wednesday morning. Wednesday will start out cloudy with the potential for a few sprinkles across central Indiana. Showers should arrive midday and we'll have them around in the evening too. Rainfall amounts through Wednesday evening will be up to 0.10 inches. A t-storm cannot be ruled out, especially across our southern counties late Wednesday. Rainfall totals may be higher in t-storms.
The cooler and wetter pattern will stick around through the end of the week as a low-pressure system hangs around Indiana. Highs will only be in the upper 60s to round out September. We look to warm things up as we start October as highs climb back into the upper 70s at the start of next week. --Danielle Dozier
