LEBANON, Ind. — A fighting couple led police on a pursuit through two counties early this morning.

The chase began a little after midnight, when Lebanon Police Department observed a male and female arguing in the cab of a pickup truck.  The two were pursued at low speeds through Lebanon, eventually heading north on Highway 39.

Police from multiple agencies pursued the couple into Clinton County, employing stop sticks at one point during the chase.

Officers then used a maneuver to turn the vehicle around, causing it to crash into a cornfield. Both occupants were ejected from the vehicle.

The woman was transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital with serious internal injuries and a broken leg. The male suffered minor injuries.

The truck was apprehended on Highway 39 near 550 South in Clinton County, which was closed for an hour after the pursuit as police further investigated the incident.
