Daily T-shower chances through Saturday followed by a cool down heading into the weekend
It won’t be as hot today, but it will still be humid with spotty T-showers. The coverage of rain will be the highest during the early to mid afternoon. Then from 5-9pm it will be more spotty. We’ll see a high of 84 today in between storms, but it looks like some of the heaviest storms will arrive in Indy by 2pm. Here is our Futureview model at that time.
All of Central Indiana is in a “Marginal Risk” for severe storms today. An isolated severe T-storm warning will be possible through the afternoon, with damaging winds being our primary threat, should storms become severe. Otherwise, some very heavy rain will also be possible underneath these storms.
If you are headed out to Crooked Stick for Round 1 of the BMW Championship spotty T-storms will be possible by 2pm…up until that point it will be dry. It also won’t be as hot as the last 2 days.
We keep rain chances through Saturday, with 1-2″ of rainfall expected. Rain will be the most widespread Friday evening through Saturday AM. At other times it will be more spotty.
The weather for tailgaters prior to the Colts game on Sunday will be PERFECT! You can expect sunny skies, low humidity and temperatures in the 70s.
Cooler air will move in for the second half of next week.
