The calendar may say September but summer is still hanging on strong.  Highs will be in the 90s Wednesday and for some location it will be the hottest day of the year so far with the heat index near 100 degrees. An approaching cold front will eventually bring relief, but not before dumping some heavy rain across the state. 1-2″ of rain is likely from late Thursday through Saturday morning. The front will pass Saturday, bringing in cooler, drier air for Saturday afternoon and Sunday.

The rain ends early Saturday.

Expect a cool, dry Sunday. I think the Colts will be able to open the roof for the game against the Lions Sunday afternoon.
