INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Emergency crews from both Hancock and Marion counties were called to a multi-vehicle crash on US 40 in Cumberland late Sunday afternoon.

The crash happened in front of the Greenfield Banking Company in the 12000 block of East Washington Street.

Two ambulances and a medical helicopter took three victims to area hospitals. Police say the victims’ injuries look to be non-life threatening and a driver’s error is likely to blame.

The crash closed all lanes of US 40 and Buck Creek Road in both directions for more than an hour.
