We have three more 90+ degree days to get through along with heat indices in the 100+ range outside of T-storms. This will be the hottest week of the summer, and we're now above average for the number of 90 degree days for the year. Relief arrives for the weekend.
The coverage of T-storms will be higher today, but storms will stay below severe limits. Storms are expected to pop by 3 p.m. and may produce heavy downpours through the PM drive and die down around sunset.
Daily rain chances will continue through Sunday and many spots will see 1-2" over the next five days.
The coverage of rain will increase each day, with the wettest day being Saturday. Temperatures will back off, and top off only in the 70s by Sunday and Monday.
