Court docs: Local music producer, rapper used money from sex trafficking to pay for videos
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.– Two men are facing federal charges after allegedly prostituting young girls out of an Indianapolis hotel.
Raheem “Kaz” Simmons and James Young are accused of running the human trafficking ring out of the America’s Best Value Inn on East 21st Street.
According to court documents, the money was used for more motel rooms, clothes and musical production– mostly rap videos. Simmons is a music producer and Young is a local rapper.
“Young counseled Simmons on how to be a pimp, including how to talk to girls to entice them to engage in commercial sex acts and how to use Backpage.com in order to find customers for the girls,” court documents read.
Some of the victims were minors.
