Road resurfacting to get underway in Westfield
WESTFIELD, Ind.- Drivers in Westfield should get ready for a lot of construction zones and delays for the next several weeks as road resurfacing is set to begin. Roughly 33 lane miles of the city’s streets are scheduled to undergo resurfacing and/or reconstruction throughout the city beginning August 8.
Residents are encouraged to follow the city’s Facebook and Twitter accounts to stay up-to-date on road work in their area.
The city is applying for funds available through the Community Crossings Matching Grant, and officials should know by the end of the month what funding they could receive.
The total estimated cost for the resurfacing project is $2 million.
