DNR investigating shooting at Fort Harrison State Park
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating a shooting that happened in Lawrence at Fort Harrison State Park Saturday night.
Officials confirm three people were shot at a party at a rental cottage inside the park. Conservation officers estimate 150 people were at the party.
Two victims were taken by ambulance to area hospitals, while the third was transported by car. All three victims are listed in stable condition. Identities of the victims are being withheld as the investigation continues.
The call came out shortly after 11:00 p.m. when officers with Lawrence Police Department were dispatched to the 500-block of Wood Road on reports of shots fired.
Indiana Conservation Officers are leading the investigation while the Lawrence Police Department assists.
