MUNCIE, Ind. — Deputies with the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force busted two men this week for dealing drugs. Both of them are from Detroit. Deputies said the circuit is a revolving door that’s getting worse.

Carlos Jackson was arrested Wednesday for selling both cocaine and heroin to undercover officers at a local hotel.

“He chuckled like, he knows we’re after the Detroit crew,” an undercover deputy said.

Larry Wright was arrested the day before for selling heroin on a street corner. Deputies said they believe the men are coming to Muncie specifically to sell drugs.

“Somebody apparently told him that Muncie is the place to come sell,” a deputy said.

Deputies said while they have an influx in criminals from Detroit coming to Muncie, many are arrested soon after they arrive. Jackson told deputies during his arrest he wasn’t happy that his crew was getting busted.

“If you’re selling it, we’re gonna buy it and we’re gonna arrest you, some day that one of you Detroit guys are gonna get a clue that we mean business here,” the deputy said.

Jackson is facing two counts of dealing drugs and two counts of possessing drugs. Wright is also facing two counts of dealing drugs, in addition to false informing. He allegedly lied to deputies and gave them a fake name. He has active warrants for his arrest in Michigan.
