Happy 4th of July! We will hang onto the clouds today and the chance for rain. Temperatures will be held in the 70s through the afternoon with muggy conditions, which will make it feel more like the low 80s. We will also be dry and cloudy for the Indians game tonight and fireworks show.
Today won't be a washout, but rain will be heavier and more persistent south of I-70. That is also where we'll see our highest rain totals. The severe threat will be further south across Kentucky today.
Showers and storms should clear out between 9 and 10 tonight, so it is looking like we will get a good number of the fireworks displays in dry in downtown Indy and Carmel, with temperatures in the low 70s.
Big time heat and humidity return later this week with highs in the 90s and heat indices near 100.
