INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – A man from the United Kingdom was sentenced to 85 years in prison for running a child pornography distribution ring linked to Indiana.

A grand jury in Indianapolis indicted Domminich Shaw in 2011. He was extradited from the U.K. in 2014 and pleaded guilty on 26 counts in October 2015. Charges against him include conspiracy to advertise child pornography and conspiracy to receive and distribute child pornography.

According to federal prosecutors, Shaw is a repeat offender who was convicted of “indecent assault” on four different girls under the age of 13 in the U.K.

He created and supervised a website that contained child pornography with infants and toddlers. The website allowed Shaw and other users to share and distribute child pornography and contact other members.

He used several aliases, many of them that included the word “nepi” and variations of it. The word is associated with nepiophilia—the sexual attraction to babies, toddlers and young children, investigators said.

Shaw’s arrest came as a result of “Operation Bulldog,” a crackdown that led to the arrest and convictions of several people in the Southern District of Indiana.

The investigation started with a Bloomington man named David Bostic, who was sentenced to life in prison for his role in possessing and distributing child pornography.

Others have also been sentenced in the case:

“It does not matter where you are in the world, if you exploit a child in this district, the United States Attorney’s Office will find you, identify you, arrest you and prosecute you. Defendant Shaw will have 85 years for that message to sink in,” said U.S. Attorney Josh Minkler.

The FBI’s Indianapolis Division and London’s Metropolitan Police Service investigated the Shaw case.
