QUINCY, MA – A boy in Quincy, Massachusetts knew his dad shouldn’t drive through a red light (especially not in his mom’s new car), so he decided that he better tell on him.
Robert, 6, called 911 on Saturday to report his dad’s traffic violation to the police. The Quincy Police Department posted Robert’s call to their YouTube page saying, “Every day we answer numerous 911 calls. Often times, these calls are from individuals who are in need of immediate assistance. Sometimes, it’s a simple misdial. Then there’s Robert’s 9-1-1 call. Robert is a six year old resident of Quincy….”
Robert tells the dispatcher, “Um… daddy went past a red light… he has a black truck and he was in a brand new car. My mommy’s car.”
The dispatcher then asks to speak with Robert’s dad. The father apologizes to the dispatcher and tells the dispatcher there is no emergency.
