INDIANAPOLIS,Ind. (May 29, 2016)–Metro Police Aggravated Assault detectives have arrested three men in connection with an early Sunday morning shooting downtown that injured four people.

21-year-old Delon Owens, 23-year-old Dametrous Brooks, and 25-year-old Rico Brown, all of Indianapolis, were arrested on preliminary charges of attempted murder.

Shortly after 3:00 a.m. police were called to the 300 block of South Meridian on a report of a person shot.  Several officers who were already in the area heard the gunshots and responded to the scene.

Inside a parking garage at that location police found two victims suffering from gunshot injuries.

One victim,  identified as 22-year-old Shaquille Ford, was suffering from a gunshot wound to the face.  The second victim, 21-year-old Demetrius Ford, was suffering from a gunshot wound to the buttocks and a graze wound to his chest.  The officers provided immediate aid to the victims until medics arrived.

Officers found two additional gunshot victims at a different location.  29-year-old Marc Spivey had a gunshot wound to his lower arm and 23-year-old Breon Sims had a gunshot wound to his hand.

All four victims were taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Officers got a good description on the suspect vehicle and after stopping a truck that matched the description, took six people into custody.  All six were questioned.  Three of them were positively identified as suspects allegedly involved in the shooting and were charged. The other three were released.

Detectives believe the shooting stemmed from an earlier disturbance.
