INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. –¬†According to a recent report from Adrian Wojnarowski, the Pacers are promoting assistant coach Nate McMillan to head coach.

Just last week Larry Bird made the announcement that they would not renew Frank Vogel’s contract.

Bird stated in the press conference that he felt players tune coaches out after a few years and that it was time for a new voice in the lockeroom. Apparently the new voice, didn’t have to be brand new as McMillan has been here for three seasons after replacing Brian Shaw. This will be McMillan’s third head coaching position.
