Today will be the 6th 80+ degree day of the year and the warmest of the month so far! We'll see hazy sunshine through the afternoon, a light breeze and mainly dry conditions.
T-storm chances will go up after midnight tonight. Few storms overnight could be on the strong-severe side with some gusty winds, cloud to ground lightning and torrential rain. The Storm Prediction Center has shifted the SLIGHT risk, and it now includes SW Indiana. So, we can't rule out an isolated severe storm overnight, but it shouldn't be a widespread outbreak. The bulk of this activity will push east before the Thursday AM commute, but we'll hang onto additional storm chances for Thursday afternoon.
Today will be the warmest of the work week. Temperatures will trend downward after today with highs only in the 50s by Saturday.
We'll hang on to the unsettled weather pattern into next week. We're already ~3.5" above the average rainfall since March 1 and we will continue to add to that over the next 7 days.
