Severe T-storm Watch for Indianapolis until 11pm

We have a severe t-storm watch of Indianapolis in effect until 11pm. Expect another round of strong storms across southwest Indiana this evening. These storms have a history of producing large hail across Missouri and Illinois. Showers and t-storms are likely overnight through the day Thursday. We’ll have dry weather Friday before a cold front brings a chance for rain Friday night through Saturday morning.


We have a severe t-storm watch in effect until 11pm.

Severe Storm Threat - 3 Categories

The main threat will be for large hail and gusty winds.


Strong storms will move across southern Indiana by 8pm.


Heavy rain will reach I-65 by 9pm.


Heavy rain moves into southeastern Indiana by 10pm.

2-Day QPF

Up to a half-inch of rain is likely overnight.


We’ll have a slight risk for severe storms over east central Indiana Thursday.
