INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --Good Friday morning! It's chilly out with temperatures in the low to mid-40s but expect a nice warm up later this afternoon. We'll have plenty of sunshine today with light northwest winds.
Highs will be in the low 70s this afternoon.
If you're running the Mini-Marathon on Saturday, plan on a mix of sun and clouds and temperatures in the 50s and low 60s.
While Saturday will start nice, clouds will increase and showers and thunderstorms are expected as a cold front moves in. The best chance of thunderstorms will be in the late afternoon and evening where some t-storms could be strong to severe. The main threats are damaging winds and large hail, however, a tornado cannot be ruled out. Mother's Day will bring a mostly cloudy sky with a chance of t-storms, especially in the evening.
Temperatures will be near 80 degrees Saturday and upper 60s Sunday. Next week will bring an unsettled weather pattern with daily rain chances but it will stay warm with temperatures in the 70s. --Danielle Dozier
