Police: Brothers bring drug paraphernalia to school after finding it in mother’s bathroom
COLUMBUS, Ind. — Police say three young brothers brought their mother’s drug paraphernalia to school.
Around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, a Bartholomew County Sheriff’s detective was told three brothers, ages 12, 11 and 9, brought a plate with methamphetamine residue and drug paraphernalia to school.
The boys found the items in their mother’s bathroom, according to police.
School officials contacted the Department of Child services. Officers arrested the mother, 31-year-old Teresa Christine Maxey, on charges of neglect of a dependent.
She is now in the Bartholomew County jail in lieu of $7,500 bond.
