Man dies two weeks after suffering gunshot wound on city’s near south side
Update (April 26, 2016) — According to police, Hill succumbed to his injuries on April 24, and the shooting was updated to a criminal homicide. Detectives have not released any suspect information at this time.
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (April 12, 2016) – The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating after they say an early morning shooting left one man in critical condition.
Officers responded to the 2700 block of Shelby Street just after 1:30 a.m. on reports of shots fired. When they arrived on scene, officers say they found a man between two houses suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim, later identified as Maurice Hill, was transported to Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition.
This investigation is ongoing and no suspect information has been released at this time.
