INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (April 8th, 2016) - It took a week for crews to transform the Colts' home into a race track. 26 million pounds of dirt was hauled into Lucas Oil Stadium this week, that's 500 truckloads of pure dirt for Supercross LIVE on Saturday.

This is their 25th year in Indianapolis and the racers always look forward to visiting Indy and performing in front of some of the best race fans in the country.

"This has been one of our best stops on the championship for many, many years," said Brandon Short, media manager for Supercross. "We've been averaging around 60,000 fans for the race here at Lucas Oil because Indy is obviously one of the most motorcrazed cities in America."

The athletes share the same love for Indy.

"This is my second time here, my first time was an awesome experience," said Dakota Tedder as he sat on his bike after running a few practice laps on Friday afternoon. "I got hurt in the first round so this is my first race back. I rode just a couple days on this track and figured I should race because I like it here so much."

Tomorrow is race number 13 of 17 on their schedule and with four races to go in their season, they're in the heart of their championship.

"We kind of got what we got, and we're just trying to keep it all together," said Tedder. "Because We've only got four weekends left."

Open ceremonies start tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. at Lucas Oil and the race begins at 7 p.m.
