INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (March 24, 2016) – Indianapolis Metropolitan police set up a perimeter Thursday to search for a man accused of shooting an Indianapolis firefighter earlier this month.
Police released surveillance images of Jerry Glover, 37, last week following the shooting on Sunday, March 13. IFD firefighter Michael “Kevin” Gill, 49, was shot in the torso in the 2200 block of East 38th Street and ran to a nearby mosque for help.
Police were searching the area near 30th Street and Gladstone for Glover in response to an anonymous tip.
Glover’s criminal record includes resisting arrest, cocaine possession and firearms violations. He was convicted twice of possessing a machine gun or bomb and was sentenced to time in prison. He is considered armed and dangerous.
