Motorcyclist dies after northeast side hit-and-run

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (March 21, 2016)– Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department are searching for a driver after a hit-and-run accident killed a motorcyclist.

Officers were called to the 9400 block of East 38th Street just before 10 p.m. Monday.

When they arrived on scene, officers found a motorcyclist had been struck by a vehicle.

Police say the victim was struck by a dark sedan, and the suspect vehicle fled the scene.

Police are looking for a dark blue 2000-2007 Mitsubishi Lantzer with damage near the driver’s door.
