(March 14, 2016) – Pizza Hut is giving away 3.14 years of free pizza to the first person who can answer these math problems in honor of Pi Day!
Pizza Hut partnered up with Princeton University math professor John H. Conway to create three questions. The difficulty of the questions will range from high school level to Ph.D. level.
“Pi may be irrational, but free pizza is anything but,” said Professor Conway. “I’m eager to challenge America with these problems and find the next great pizza-loving mathematician that can solve them.”
The math problems were released on the Pizza Hut blog. The first person to correctly answer the questions will win 3.14 years of free pizza.
The retail value of the prize is approximately $1,600. It will be given to the winner in the form of Pizza Hut gift cards.
There is no purchase necessary to participate in the contest. Participants must be 18 years of age or older.
Pi Day is celebrated in many different ways throughout the world, and it is also the birthday of mathematical genius Albert Einstein.
