Bulldogs hang on for critical win over Seton Hall
INDIANAPOLIS — Kellen Dunham hit four 3-pointers and scored 22 points and Butler held on late to beat Seton Hall 85-78 on Wednesday night.
Roosevelt Jones finished with 20 points and five assists and Kelan Martin added 13 points and nine rebounds for the Bulldogs (20-9, 9-8 Big East). Butler led 43-28 at halftime, but the Pirates opened the second on a 12-2 run and cut the Bulldogs lead to 77-75 on a Whitehead jumper with 1:27 left.
Jones responded with a layup and later hit two free throws to push the lead 81-75 with 45 seconds left.
