INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (February 22, 2016) – Early season disappointment in Maui sent Indiana tumbling from the polls after a preseason ranking in the top 15. Today, the Hoosiers (22-6, 12-3 Big Ten) are nearly back to that level, earning the No. 18 spot in the latest AP Poll.

IU jumps four spots from their No. 22 spot last week. Over the past seven days, the Hoosiers notched two wins, first over Nebraksa 80-64 and then topping Purdue 77-73.

The Boilers (21-7, 9-6 Big Ten) fell from No. 17 to No. 20 after beating Northwestern and losing to Indiana.

The final Hoosier-state team in the top 25 is Notre Dame, checking in at No. 23. The Irish (18-8, 9-5 ACC) suffered a disappointing loss at unranked Georgia Tech to drop four spots from No. 19 the previous week.
