INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (February 6, 2016)--Metro police are searching for two men who forced their way into an elderly man's east side home Saturday morning.
The 78-year-old man who suffers from dementia and Alzheimer's was home alone when two males forced their way into his home around 8:45 a.m.
The home with a Routiers Avenue address is located near Post Road and East Washington Street.
The victim told police the pair grabbed cash, his wallet and ransacked his house.
"They even took my home phone so I couldn't call for help," the man told investigators.
Police say the man was not injured.
Neighbors and police say they will be keeping an eye on the home as the investigation continues.
