2 teens killed in 4 Indianapolis shootings Wednesday

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Feb. 3, 2016)-- In four separate incidents across Indianapolis Wednesday, four people were shot. Two of them were killed.

The first shooting occurred around 1:30 p.m. in the 1900 block of Bosart Avenue on the east side. Officers found a male victim suffering from several gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital. At this time his condition is not known. A second person was injured and sent to the hospital as a precautionary measure.

Around 4 p.m., a second shooting was reported in the 4400 block of Park Forest Court on the northeast side. Officers arrived and found a 16-year-old suffering from a gunshot wound inside of a car. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police identified him as 16-year-old Jaylan Murray of Indianapolis.

The third shooting occurred around 6:30 p.m. in the 5200 block of Winterberry Circle at a northwest side apartment complex. The victim was transported to IU Health Methodist Hospital in critical condition and later died. Police identified him early Thursday morning as 18-year-old Jerrold Parker of Indianapolis.

A fourth shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. in the 2400 block of National Avenue on the south side. Police say that victim was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
