INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Jan. 8, 2016) – The reshaping of the Indianapolis Colts coaching staff has claimed another victim. Linebackers coach Jeff FitzGerald has been relived of his duties.

The team confirmed it “parted ways’’ with FitzGerald Friday. He had been a part of coach Chuck Pagano’s staff since 2012.

FitzGerald’s departure marks the seventh from Pagano’s staff. Earlier in the week, the team “parted ways” with defensive coordinator Greg Manusky, tight ends coach Alfredo Roberts, running backs coach Charlie Williams, head strength and conditioning coach Roger Marandino and defensive backs coaches Mike Gillhamer and Roy Anderson.

Pagano replaced Manusky with former Baltimore Ravens linebackers coach Ted Monachino. He also named Rob Chudzinski his new offensive coordinator.

It’s also been reported by FOX Sports.com Pagano is interviewing offensive line prospects: Miami offensive line coach John Benton, New York Giants offensive line coach Pat Flaherty and San Francisco offensive line coach John Foerster. The Giants and 49ers fired their head coaches.

The major upheaval on the Colts’ coaching staff comes a few days after owner Jim Irsay signed Pagano to a four-year extension and added three years to general manager Ryan Grigson’s contract.
