INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Kelan Martin scored a career-high 24 points and Butler beat Indiana State 85-71 on Saturday.

Martin was 10 of 14 from the floor for the Bulldogs (6-1) who shot 57 percent. Butler was only 3 of 11 from the arc but made 24 of 31 free throws.

Kellen Dunham and Andrew Chrabascz added 19 points each in the 126th meeting between the two schools.

Brenton Scott scored 18 points and Brandon Murphy and Devonte Brown 10 apiece for the Sycamores (3-4).

Butler shot 62 percent in the first half to lead 43-36.

A steal and basket by Scott got Indiana State within four, 53-49, before Butler went on an 8-0 run with six points from Dunham.

Indiana State cut the lead down to six but a Dunham 3-pointer started a 10-0 for a 75-59 advantage and the Bulldogs led by double figures the rest of the way.
