JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. (Nov. 9, 2015)-- Greenwood police are still looking for the person who killed a 3-month-old infant in February .
Gabriel Neace would have just turned one. However, as the months pass by, the question now turns to who is responsible.
"I want to know, I want to know exactly what happened," said Megan Neace, the infant's mother.
Neace is determined to find out who killed Gabriel and how.
"The police know he had trauma to his head, but they don't know what caused it-- if he was hit with something or thrown," said Neace.
On Feb. 7, Neace went to work and left Gabriel with his father at their family home in Greenwood.
"He was completely fine when I left. He was normal, laughing, playing and giggling," said Neace.
However, everything wasn't fine when she returned home from work.
"I jumped up in the ambulance and said, 'I'm his mother can you tell me what happened?' They were trying to get him to breathe, he wasn't breathing," said Neace.
Gabriel died days later. His death was ruled a homicide but the infants killer still walks free.
"When it comes to my kid, I want to know exactly what happened and why," said Neace.
Greenwood police say this is still an open homicide case.
Megan has since split up with her husband. If you have any information about this case, you are asked to call the Greenwood Police Department.
