IOWA CITY, Iowa (Nov. 5, 2015) -- Police in Iowa said a man went to strange extremes to try to get out of a DUI arrest.
Officers say Ross McDonald, 39, was pulled over for suspicion of drunk driving after driving the wrong direction. Police said he failed the field sobriety test.
Officers then took him back to the department's processing room for a breathalyzer, but only agreed to it after he ate some toilet paper, reports KCRG.
Police said McDonald thought the toilet paper would somehow interfere with the test. He was mistaken, however. Police said McDonald blew a .165, more than twice the legal limit.
