Indianapolis, Ind. (September 25, 2015) - AT&T retail stores in the Indianapolis will open early at 8 a.m. Friday to offer the new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.
Dejon Shepard, AT&T area retail sales manager, says the stores have been accepting pre-orders for two weeks so long lines are not necessarily expected, although customers did start lining up at a Fishers location at 4 p.m. Thursday.
At first glance, the new phones may look no different except for color options, but Shepard says the phone has several internal upgrades.
Shepard says Live Photos, 3D Touch, 12-megapixel iSight camera, 5-megapixel FaceTime HD camera with Retina Flash and more are powered by the Apple-designed A9 chip, the most advanced chip ever in a smartphone, delivering faster performance and great battery life.
The Apple Store in The Fashion Mall at Keystone also opens at 8 a.m. There will be a DJ and refreshments. Customers could start lining up at 5 a.m.
