UPDATE: Students at all four Tippecanoe County schools have been dismissed.

TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (September 18, 2015) – Four Tippecanoe County schools are on lockout as police investigate criminal activity in the area.

The schools on lockdown are McCutcheon High School, Mayflower Mill Elementary, Wea Ridge Middle and Wea Ridge Elementary.

The Tippecanoe County Sherriff’s Office says the students are safe. A lockout is called when there is a threat or hazard outside the school building.

No one may enter or leave the building.

Buses may be held if the sheriff’s department does not give the all-clear by dismissal time.
