Three people taken into custody after police chase ends in Boone County

Aftermath of chase on Sept. 9, 2015

BOONE COUNTY, Ind. (Sept. 9, 2015) – Police took three people into custody in Boone County Wednesday morning following a police chase that started in Tippecanoe County.

According to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, the incident ended around 7:45 a.m. at State Road 39 and Enterprise Boulevard. Indiana State Police said a man and two women robbed a CVS in West Lafayette and then took off in a white Buick on I-65 south. Police in the area couldn’t catch them.

The pursuit continued into Boone County, where state police put down stop sticks. The car ran over them and then exited at State Road 39 and made a right turn on Enterprise Boulevard. Investigators said the suspects didn’t know the road was a dead end.

Officers cornered the suspects there and took them into custody.
