Man dies after suffering stab wound to leg, police arrest victim’s brother
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (September 6, 2015) – A man on the northeast side of Indianapolis died Saturday night, and police arrested the victim’s brother for murder.
IMPD officers were dispatched to the 2500 block of North Gale Street at 9:02 p.m. on a report of a man bleeding from the leg.
Officers arrived a short time later and located the victim, later identified Moises Pablo Ramos, bleeding profusely in a large pool of blood.
EMS personnel arrived to administer life-saving measures but he was subsequently pronounced deceased.
Homicide Detectives responded to the scene to conduct an investigation and gather witness statements.
Investigators learned the victim was involved in an altercation with his brother, Santos Ramos, in the living room of the residence.
During the altercation the suspect stabbed the victim in the lower leg striking the femoral artery.
Marion County Forensic Service agency arrived on scene and gathered forensic evidence including the murder weapon.
Santos Ramos was arrested for murder and transported to the APC.
