(Sept. 4, 2015) – The Force is back—and so is the Star Wars marketing blitz.
Early Friday morning, retailers around the country started selling new Star Wars merchandise based on the upcoming The Force Awakens, which hits theaters in December.
Walmart, Target, Meijer, Amazon and other stores are offering some 500 products based on the new movie. The launch day is billed as “Force Friday.”
Highlights include action figures based on characters in the movie, vehicles, playsets, LEGO sets, bobbleheads and lightsabers. Fans will even find Star Wars-themed Hot Wheels cars.
Another wave of Force Awakens merchandise will hit stores closer to the movie’s release.
