FRANKFORT, Ind. (August 19, 2015) – Four Franklin residents were arrested on drug-related charges, and the Franklin Police Department credits the public’s helpful tips.

The following four Frankfort residents were arrested:

  • Jason Stephens, 23, and Celeste Sexton, 20, both charged with Possession of a Synthetic Drug (Class A misdemeanor)
  • Erin Unger, 38, charged with Maintaining a Common Nuisance (Level 6 Felony) and Possession of a Synthetic Drug
  • Dustin Williams, 23, arrested on a probation violation warrant.

Additionally, synthetic drugs and cash were seized from a house in the 600 block of East Washington Street.

“These arrests happened because concerned Frankfort residents called our tip line which prompted an investigation by our Narcotics Division resulting in enough probable cause to have a search warrant issued,” said Police Chief Troy Bacon.

Bacon went on to say, “We thank those community members who took a stand by reporting suspicious behavior. As we emphasize at each of our community meetings, ‘if you see something, say something.’  The caring residents in this neighborhood did just that and their calls to us set the ball in motion, resulting in drug activity at this particular location coming to a halt,” Bacon said. “Our residents are our eyes and ears about what is happening in their neighborhoods. By partnering together, the City of Frankfort is made safer and more secure for everyone.”

Those arrested are being held at the Clinton County Jail, awaiting formal charges.

The Frankfort Police Department’s crime tip line is 654-4431.
