INDIANAPOLIS (July 14, 2015) – The Indianapolis Zoo’s Skyline ride will reopen soon, zoo officials said Tuesday.

On June 18, the ride shut down because of a problem with a breaker. The technical glitch trapped 10 people on the ride, prompting a rescue from Indianapolis Fire Department crews. The ride hasn’t reopened to the public since the incident.

The zoo has been testing the ride for about four hours a day to make sure it’s 100% ready. While the ride is close to reopening to the public, weather has delayed testing.

The zoo blamed the problem on a breaker that was “too sensitive.” The breaker went back to the manufacturer and has since been adjusted.

The ride also malfunctioned back in October after a problem with the gearbox. Six people stranded on the ride were rescued.
