Indianapolis Colts release schedule for 2015 training camp at Anderson University

ANDERSON, Ind. (June 23, 2015) — The Colts released the schedule for this year’s training camp at Anderson University. The team will report on Aug. 1 with the first day of practice on Sunday, Aug. 2.

The Colts are back at Anderson for the sixth consecutive season after originally holding camp there from 1984 through 1998. Camp will be located at the Kardatzke Wellness Center/Macholtz Stadium complex located in the northeast section of campus. Fans can access the area via University Boulevard and 5th Street. Camp is free of charge, although visitors will have to pay to park.

Eleven practices will be open to the public, including a night practice on Wednesday, Aug. 5. Training camp will also mark the return of Colts City, which features interactive areas for families. Some of the attractions include:

  • Interactive inflatables
  • Sponsor booths
  • Social media tent presented by Coke
  • Giveaways and register-to-win ticket opportunities
  • Colts In Motion traveling museum
  • Play 60 Zone
  • Colts Pro Shop
  • Colts Cheerleaders appearance
  • Concessions
  • Goodwill Collection – Located at the entrance to the Training Camp parking lot. All donors will get a custom Colts seat cushion courtesy of Goodwill.

Training camp will also feature several theme days:

  • Kids Day presented by Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health – Sunday, August 2: The Colts will celebrate BLUE’s 10th season with the team by offering discounted concessions for kids. All Colts Kids Club Members will have the opportunity to participate in a scavenger hunt for the chance to win Colts tickets and other prizes.   • BBQ Bash at Training Camp – Wednesday, August 5: The Colts will host a BBQ Bash during the evening practice at Training Camp. The evening will include BBQ concession items, a full-squad Colts Cheerleader performance, live music inside Colts City and more.
  • Armed Forces Day presented by BOSE – Saturday, August 8: Members of the Armed Forces are invited to attend Colts Training Camp for a day dedicated to the men and women who have served or are currently serving in our military. Discounted parking and concessions will be offered for military members who present a military ID.
  • Community Take Back Day presented by the Indiana Prescription Drug Abuse Task Force – Sunday, August 9: The Colts are teaming up with the Office of the Indiana Attorney General for a prescription drug take back event at Training Camp. Fans that bring unused or expired Rx prescriptions for safe disposal on August 9th will be given a complimentary copy of the 2014 Colts highlight DVD titled “Knocking on the Door.” For a list of permanent Rx Take Back locations, visit http://www.in.gov/bitterpill/safe_storage.

Parking

Parking will be available every day that Colts City is open. It costs $5 for cars and $20 for buses. Parking will open at 10:30 a.m. with the exception of Aug. 5, when lots open at 3 p.m. for the night practice.

Bag Security Policy

The NFL’s Stadium Security Policy is in effect for camp, meaning the Colts will limit the size and types of bags fans can bring into training camp and Colts City. Here’s what you should bring:

  • Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12”, including one-gallon clear plastic freezer bags.
  • Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap.
  • An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at the entry gate.
