INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (June 5, 2015) – Crews are battling a building fire on the west side of Indianapolis near the Indianapolis Motor Speedway – for the second time in seven hours.

IFD was dispatched to the 1600 block of North Luett Avenue around 4 a.m.

According to the Indianapolis Fire Department, the building is Leed Thermal Processing plant.

Last night, crews battled a large fire in the same building around 9 p.m Thursday. Fifteen crews helped put out the fire Thursday night, including crews from Speedway Fire Department, Wayne Township Fire Department, and Pike Township Fire Department.

Officers say the fire was possibly rekindled from an earlier fire on the roof when a maintenance worker’s torch caused a small fire.

This morning’s fire was the third fire on the roof of the Leed Thermal Processing plant within twenty-four hours.
